The Dodge Group of companies began in the 1930’s when John R Dodge created his construction company, Cardinal Construction. After 35 years in the construction industry, John R’s son, Jack took the company into a development stage, building and managing several commercial and industrial properties in Southeastern Ontario. In the early 80’s a third generation was added to the business when Jacks’ daughter Diana began, and the Hospitality division of the company was started. Eleven motels throughout Ontario were built and managed by The Dodge Group in conjunction with Journeys End Corporation. These Journeys End Motels were one of the first mass budget motel chains to sweep across the country. In the late 80’s the Dodge family made a decision to build and operate two Extended Stay Hotels in the Toronto area. These independent hotels were called Dodge Suites Hotels, and were the first extended stay hotels to successfully operate in the extended stay market in Canada.
The family has built their reputation on Quality and Service in everything they do. They operate first class facilities with first class service.
